Chem-Lock® Oil Spill Kit 240 is primarily for outdoor use for dealing with oil, hydrocarbons, solvents and other organic liquids spills.
Ideal for use:
- Bulk fuel and oil storage
- Waste oil collection points
- Fuel delivery points
- Near high risk areas such as rivers and canals.
Due to its size, shape and portability this is an ideal spill kit for internal use and anywhere where volumes of liquids are stored, delivered or received.
Oil Selective sorbents absorb all hydrocarbons – They REJECT water and aqueous liquids
Supplied with a heavy duty, UV stabilised highly visible, water proof blue 240L wheelie bin.

- 1 x Oil Specific Sock 300 x 7.5 cm
- 5 x Oil Specific Sock 125 x 7.5 cm
- 2 x Oil Specific Cushions
- 1 x Dammit® mat
- 3 x Disposal bags and ties
- 1 x 800g Dammit® ready mix putty
Sorbency: 100 – 166 Litres
Sorbency based on BS 7959-1:2004 using water.
Higher figure based on high viscosity liquid with no drain
NOTE:
The absorbents within this kit may be safely used with all liquids immiscible with water, such as hydrocarbons, solvents, mineral oils.
Water-repellency exceeds requirements of BS 7959-2:2000.
Before any use in a spill situation a proper risk assessment should be carried out and all hazardous properties of the liquid or dangerous reactions taken into account.
